“What Mrs. Denise and this program has done for our family is something I did not expect. Caiden started the program when he was about two and a half years old and did not say any words. He would not even attempt to say words. I felt as if he was never going to speak. When we started the program, I thought it was going to be solely for the child and that us, the parents, would be learning new teaching methods to help him say his first words.
In my opinion, this program turned out to be more beneficial for us than our son. After about five months of sessions our son is now close to saying 50 words. Something I could have never imagined. But the most valuable part of the program for us was learning how we could be better parents for our son.
This program showed us that not every child learns in the same manner. We spent so much time trying to teach our son, but didn’t realize that the reason why he wasn’t willing to say words was because the way we were teaching him was not the way he wanted to learn. We felt like teaching was a one size fits all and it is not. The program showed us how to follow his interests and engage in what he wanted to do. As soon as we did, we saw his willingness to say more words. The frustration in both parents and child reduced drastically.
The program also taught us how to deal with his behavioral issues. Due to limited speech Caiden’s frustration would sometimes get overwhelming for him and we did not know how to deal with it. The program gave us tools to understand his frustration because of his limited speech. Sometimes as parents we forget how hard it can be to not speak or be understood when trying to communicate with limited words because we are already used to speaking and having conversations. The program taught us how to be in our son’s shoes and look at the issues through his mind.
This program has been the help we had been looking for and needing. As a parent we need to adapt and make changes as well as our children in order for this to work and I am so glad we did. We are more thank grateful for what the program has done for us and what is has shown us.”

I feel my son Regan has benefited greatly, he expresses himself better. I’m able to communicate more effectively. His teacher was great, patient, understanding. She provided tools that helped me as a mother to help him better and different ways to make learning fun. I’m very thankful for the therapy sessions.
